Rep yo Guild!

I decided to make this topic of discussion after joining a guild, and receiving a cold shoulder from almost every member in the guild. I constantly get zero replies to my in game Guild: chatting. It is as if they are ignoring me on purpose, Oh wait they are. This guild seems boring, and I would like to know if anyone has a reason to join their guild. For example, if your guild is at WAR with one, or many other guilds, that would be fun for PvPing.

So I want you to tell a little about yourself, and the guild that your involved with. Tell why you are in that particular guild, and if you are happy in it. Also tell about the guilds that you despise, and would like to kill every time you see a member. This I hope will instigate some in game warring to make being a guild member a lil more dangerous, and thrilling.

Before we start this... what guild did come from?

Guild name is in my sig, and I like it because those that are in it are active. We're small at this moment in time, but we try to do things together on a consistent basis to try and keep the 'Guild' sociable. I do at least.

Also, you don't need to be in a guild to have friends or even meet people and just hang with them for a while. It shows them that the people that play on The Second Age shard actually like to converse. I think that's the biggest flaw with these free shards.. the atmosphere is usually quiet, because no one trusts anyone. Let's be different... let's show our new players what UO used to be, and hang with them like we used to do in the old days.

I come from a guild that will remain anonymous, but I can tell you that if you've heard of a really LAME guild it's probably the one I'm in. I do agree with your statement about people don't seem to trust anyone, because it's a free shard. This creates a problem since everyone is afraid of saying the wrong thing to a persons alt character, they remain silent. This makes the air stale, and BORING.

I would eventually like to create my Tank-Mage, and participate in the events. I've only watched one event, but it looks like fun and a "fair fight". I've never really been big on guilds, but I know back when I used to play, a WAR guild was pretty exciting.

At this moment I have only seen Order vs Chaos fights in town, and someone that purposely turns grey to entice someone to attack them. I've seen this done a hundred times, and it seems as if people are scared to attack a grey. This confuses the hell out of me. Either everyone is too nice, or too scared to fight.

I want to hear from some of you that are in a guild that is either BORING, or ACTIVE.

The problem is that the bigger a guild gets the less comitted people in the guild get, or instead will form little factions within the guild, i used to have a system for that to keep things civil, a so called status system in wich you would get higher and gain more power in the guild by aiding the guild, that way people would stay comitted.

Right now im not in a guild but soon will have one with rl friends, wich is the best solid base for a guild, the best core you can trust on.

This is a good idea, I am also a fan of picking your own title, thus allowing your guild members to have fun with this game. Give them a little freedom I say, and everyone is happy!

Yes, this is the best foundation for a guild, and I wish I still hung out with my friends that used to play. Also I wish they still played :)

I always found rl people that join me in this game tend to slow everything that I do.. they know the ropes, but are just too lazy to do anything on there own. Sick of telling them over and over again, what to do and have them not listen and whine about not having as much gold as me. **** you I say!

I said in uo-slang that i have more qualities that functioning as an additional damage dealing for ganks. Ive been a (large-)guildmaster on many shards, even had player run towns with friends.

What's wrong with PWN? I've run into them a few times and I know a few of them that used to play Metropolis shard with me (when it was alive). They are a goofy bunch that just like to run around and have fun. They treat this game for what it is... "a game". If they talk weird or seem "off" its usually because they are stoned/high.

I'm not trying to defend them per se because I haven't met everyone, but the few I have... they were cool. I'm just stating a fact after having talked to them while they were hanging out at WBB (which they tend to like to do).
