Can you afk macro fishing? I heard only in town. How high can you gain skill in town and do you dry out yours spot?

Yes, from land you can, you cannot afk macro from boat. Afk resource macroing is illegal and you'll get jail time. Others have been caught so be forewarned.

I spoken with a few who gained into the 80s from land; however after 65 gains slow down greatly from land.

Spots dry up and you have to move around quite a bit. Might as well gain in deep water, you'll gain faster and serps die very easily.

How do you catch people afk resource macroing from a boat?

Easy, game masters usually randomly spy on players invisible to see what they are doing. So they just teleport from player to player and check them out. You never know if a game master is watching you.

I made a macro that walked me back and forth on a dock and fished from either side, and would leave it running overnight. It only took me 2 nights (approx 10 hrs each) to hit 93.5ish from land. I pretty much plateau'd there though, so I had to do the last 7 pts from a boat (and it was brutal...).

You can gain up to 92 from land

94 from land. Rest on a boat, but better birng a weapon.....serps and eles will kick your butt!

Its not creepy, its actually really fun to watch other people play uo, when they dont know your watching. You can get all info about the player, skills, stats and all that, you can allso snoop in their bag and see what they carry. I mean if it wasnt that fun there would not be this many free servers out there.

We usually only watch people that give us a reason to watch.

Man, I just tried to Google this about 500 different ways and couldn't find them. That sounds effing hilarious, and someone needs to post them again!

What are the Rules about AFK fishing from a boat in shallow waters?

Since you can't fish up the resource (MiBs/maps) when AFK fishing on a boat in shallow water, doing so should be acceptable. At least I would think so.
