NPC interaction

I was going through my old Second Age manual and noticed somethig. The NPC AI and interaction. It used to be possible to hire NPCs to take on your adventures, you could even converse with the NPCs and ask where you were, the time of day etc.

Is it possible this kind of interaction can be returned to the game? It's my understanding that some time after Third Dawn, in favour of extremely simplistic user interfaces, that kind of interaction was removed. Instead we were left this shift click/context menu business.

What's the go on restoring old mechanics? Is it possible?

You will be happy to know that there is no context menus here :) Talk to the npc's! Hire the npc's! Even kill your npc's!

You can hire NPC right now. And there are other small interaction that perform all the needed actions in game

I am planning on impletmenting NPC chatting, getting directions from them, and even the old simple quest system where they hand out "rumors"
