UO Second Age

I know its not era accurate at all but custom houses were always good gold sinks and i know peeps been asking about gold sinks recently.

The only thing that kept me going after all the crap that OSI put us through with Trammel, Newbifying everything, was the custom houses. I used to love running around and seeing what people would do with the room that they had.

My perfect world would be T2A with custom housing.

Thoughts?

Heh, sorry to come off as an a$$ - I think implementing things that are not era accurate for the sake of a gold sink is a bad idea. That is just my opinion though.

It takes a great deal of talent to concoct such a magnificently horrific, flawlessly dysfunctional (check out the sign post), and all-artistic-sensibilities-offending eyesore! Wow, gz finding the pic; more gz to the architect. Now gimme a lot of art deco furniture and I'll be in real-estate-pariah heaven!

Crap, stick vendors all over it, and you'd never be able to keep them stocked ...

I do have to admit, I miss custom housing.

I hated custom housing phase. My whole path of UO from t2a to UOR was to get a castle at some point.

They then made it so castles could no longer be placed and t hen started mandatory replacing your castle deeds with gold. So i got screwed out of placing a castle AND they stole a potential rare.

Not to mention, custom housing started a trend of anti social behavior.

1. Private housing : literally knocked you out of a house before you hit the steps.
2. Teleporters in fake vendor houses set to trap you in a dungeon where you were soon murdered or trapped.
3. Stuff was expensive and i don't have a artistic mind so my houses were always just pillars and tile.
