I have a question about animals and creatures in houses. Examples: sheep to gather wool and wisps to train resist/melee.
Is there a decay rate for these creatures? If I have my house loaded with these creatures, but I don't log in for 2 or 3 days, will they disappear? Is there a timer on them where if they do not receive any interaction such as being tamed, or attacked, or have their wool shorn they will decay?
The reason that I am asking is I had some of these creatures inside of a smithy that disappeared. I can only assume that they either (1) decayed or (2) some griefer cast magic through the walls to kill them.
Looking for some good info. Maybe from somebody who habitually stuffs their home full of creatures.

Re: Animals/Creatures in Houses
First, they do decay if not targeted or dealt damage within 20 hours or so.
Second, if you're amassing sheep in your house, I consider YOU the griefer and I'm glad someone put those poor cooped up sheep out of their misery.
