Do silver weapons do reduced damage to players?

I was wondering because someone said I shouldn't use a silver force hally since it "does reduced damage because it's silver".

Is this true? Please confirm!

Not true

Those "slayer" weapons later on in UO may have reduced damage when attacking the wrong type of mob (i think), but silver only does additional damage to undead, it never takes away.
