Best way to increase Intelligence?
Besides Magery and Meditation what skill brings up intelligence rather quickly? I tried Item ID and Spirit Speak but didn't gain. It was only until I lowered Med and gained some back that I gained. Any suggestions. Thanks.

med takes the longest.
maybe use te technique described here with med.

Evaluate Intelligence works well through normal skill gain.
cooking and alchemy netted my mule 100 int from 10, he still isn't skill capped.
The most effective way is to be skill capped (700 total skill points) and lock all skills but item id or spirit speak. Keep your chosen skill pointed up with zero skill and run a macro for it. Intelligence takes the longest of all three stats.

Learn something everyday I didn't know you could do that with zero skills locked and still gain. Thank you. It's all starting to come back to me ;p

use herding, it's delay is only .5 seconds. A brand new char can go 100/100/25 or 100/25/100 in 2 hours or so at skill cap with herding at 0 pointing up.
ss and the ids have really long delays so it will take quite a bit longer

2 hours??? I've been at it..LITERALLY...for days now...with herding...and I'm only at 61 from 10... I don't know where you got 2 hours from o.Ojohttenn wrote:use herding, it's delay is only .5 seconds. That comment was from 2008. A lot could have changed and/or it may have been an entirely inaccurate comment to begin with. I can no longer remember if that was the case then.Daemon Golgoth wrote:2 hours??? I've been at it..LITERALLY...for days now...with herding...and I'm only at 61 from 10... Raising intelligence is usually slower than the others and I recommend starting a character with High Intelligence whenever possible if it will be part of the Character's Template.
I typically use camping to raise my intelligence, but herding is certainly cheaper. Here's some ideas from the UOSA Wiki, also.

herding and camping for str.
snooping for dex.
cooking for int.
use musicanship to lower the listed skills when 10.0 is reached. it gives u int and dex bonus.

Int gains fastest with camping, imo
