Server downtime

What happens at 7:00 est?
Says something about the last save. How long is this for and what is it for? If I'm outside town shall I re-log in a half hour to find my body looted by orcs?

At 7am EST we save, and you'll get a message saying "the shard has saved for the last time", and at 7:10 am the shard restarts. Anything that happens between 7:00 and 7:10 will not persist after the restart. Usually, the shard restarts in about 2 minutes unless the is a patch which will require a couple extra minutes. A couple times a week the server itself is rebooted which usually means the shard will go down a few minutes before 7:10 and will take up to 10 minutes to restart.

A good idea is to use your free 10 minutes for wanton murder and destruction.

Sorry Chris, forgot to answer 1/2 half of your question.
You will be logged off when server restarts, you'll never find your characted "acted upon" after last save.
