Is there such thing as being "perma-red" on this shard?

I asked a GM (Yoda, who is very nice) and he said he didn't think you could be permanently red by swithcing from red to blue a certain number of times. Some players have told me you can by going blue to red three times, others have said they were unsure, others have said it's not possible... What's the story here?

I'm pretty sure this got patched in. If you go blue/red 3 times you could very well end up perma-red.

I would check the last couple patch notes to verify this though, I could be wrong.

I talked to derrick about this before as well. Perma red I think is era accurate but it is not currently patched in.

A new answer to "I must consider my sins" has been added for those characters that are permanently red.

No there is not currently perma red, although it falls within our relatively wide time frame of May-Nov 1999.
There is also not a young system.

I don't really see any way a perma-red system could be exploited. The Young system has several obvious faults though. Is there any thought about putting in the perma-system? I think it would help cut down on the blue-pk's. In that developers note it even says that this system was successful on OSI.

I would like to see it as well. All of my reds are red and haven't been blue since. When I was new I was pk'd a few times by K^A(laugh it up) on their blues who i turned red a few times and he would always find me 2 days later blue and kill me again.

A young system doesn't seem necessary for this shard. There aren't enough people playing (doubt there will be either) to warrant a real "newbie PKing" issue, which is why it was implemented in the first place. Maybe if our IP count, on average, reaches the quadruple digits it would be worth the consideration. If you read my "Cut-Off Date" thread, you'd know that perma-red (along with a lot of other good stuff except some house trammefying additions) was implemented in Publish 1 on November 23rd.
