PvP Help...Any Medwarriors or Healmages out there?

Post by benny- »

Random question time...Im playing a hybrid pvp char that uses both magery and bandage healing an Im having a bit of a problem using them both, so I thought maybe someone playing an unusual char class that uses the two could help me...

Anywho, to my problem...whenever I precast a spell and Im holding it (such as a disrupt spell to stop a g heal or a precasted heal myself) and I need to bandage heal, if I hit my bandage self macro while the spell cursor is up it stays up, but when I go to drop the spell I get no effect. I could see if I was using a reg bandage macro and thus had to target myself, but I dont see why the bandageself macro is messing up my targeting when the bandaging doesnt require me to target. Its really messing up my pvp....as a healer I have to use the bandages at the first moment I can, as a spellcaster I have to have my spells ready to drop at any moment.....losing my spells to have to recast them just to start my bandages a few secs early is really slowing me down.....any ideas?

Sounds like more of an ingame issue as a bug, ect... I use heal mages often as its nearly impossible to die 1v1. Im not saying i use them here but in the past and other shards i have used them. I would get ahold of derrik about this issue, hes the admin here. Sorry that i couldn't help.

When you hit your Bandage Self macro, Razor sends a Use Bandage request to the shard, which responds with a target request, this cancels your pending spell target. Razor catches that target request and sends 'self', so although you never see the target, it's still happening. The client may only have one target cursor at a time.

What about the bandageself macro that's available in-game?

a "healer mage" template is pretty ineffective here unless you're on the field with some friends..
