Poison on Food?

Post by Deja vu »

Unless I am mistaken when you poison food should not the level of the poison be 1 level higher than the poison used? I remember eating a pizza in UO and getting a level 5 poison from it.

Is that correct or am I mistaken?

on the other hand I think it would all so give the poisoner a murder count if some one died from the poison...

that would be correct after AoS came out and introduced 5th level poison.. it was never possible to achieve lethal poison during t2a, except for maybe tinker traps..

don't quote me on this tho

I tend to agree with the original poster...I know food was one level higher but I don't know if there was such thing as 'level 5 poison' then.

lethal (level 5) poison has been around since the start of UO, there is just very little ways to inflict such a level (if any..) in the t2a era

Actually, there were origonally 4 levels of poison, with the 5th being introduced a few months after the game released. Lethal poison is only achieveable with high tinkering skill during T2A and UOR.

id like to see an official quote on this cause I quit right at the beginning of UOR and I remember level 5 poisons from food.

4 2/3rds would be the better way to write that, where did you get that number from?

A method i use to use for my own shard. From what i hear and from the system you use to run your shard RunUO, (Ryan which is the manager) iv heard some things about poisoning issues on his shard. I had to write it 4.67777777% because 4 2/3rds would be wrong. believe it or not .1 drastically matters. We had a bunch of cry baby's complaining about it, i didn't think it matters but yes sir, it does :) Iv noticed anyways. That's just on food.. weapons i believe its like a 2.333333% chance of doing a lvl 5 poison, i just know food was raised because in a way, it was sorta poinless to poison food, until OSI came up with that %. I have no leads on this information so i cant really prove thats legit to OSI. I just know a majority uses it and it works.

There's not much on Second Age that is RunUO default, which is Mondains Legacy era.

4.67777777% isn't how you'd round 14/3 anyway. Only the last digit goes up. The difference isn't 0.1, it's 0.0111111033..

I still don't understand what he's talking about.

Alot of people seem you run of RunUO. I assumed so myself but obviously there wrong. Ultima online is a very old game.. 10+ years old and its still in 2D land. What happens when Darkfall comes out ? Its schedualed for release this year, and it mimics Ultima online but in a new 3d view, to be honest i hate 3d but it really dont look that bad. Has anyone ever played Oblivion ? Well you have to hit the target manually and block manually sorta like oblivion is, i thought that to be intresting. Then we get these people that are trying to calculate a % thats been around forever and they never ran a server before. its acually closer to .1 ( for some reason its get rounded ingame like that). Get your facts down son. Not talking to your derrik, talking to the post below yours i can have shard owners tell you this. Im no staff here or anything and who am i to say anything but i do have one thing to say.. Give the people what they want, T2A accurate is not always the best thing, specially when Ultima does not have long to live. Most of us i can assume can say, been there, done that. There is no way to recreate the feeling you had when you first played UO back in 97, we where alot younger, it was a first of its kind. I believe we all possibly could of done everything you could do in UO. Why do it all over again ? Without the fun feeling specially. Just a higher electric bill with your computer running macro's while your at work all day. I also vote in making skills easier. Why ? I bet it raises the population alot. Alot of greifers on this shard so its hard to raise shit anyways with that.

I should leave because some kid is pulling numbers out of his ass and can't subtract? Okay then, I guess I'll totally do that. Just because it's what you want, and you're the boss.
