Despise

Post by ilcazzo »

Okay so I was recently in Despise.....didn't it used to be full of Etins and stuff like that instead of poisonous snakes and spiders and stuff. I started during Renaissance so I maybe I'm incorrect. Please enlighten me.

During T2A it was definately rats, spiders etc.

You might be thinking of Wrong, or a change made to despise after t2a.

yea pretty sure despise was the 'humanoid' dungeon after t2a. lizardmen, ettins, trolls, ogres etc.

Here is an example of some of the nuisance spawn in Covetous. I remember Despise as being worse than this. Still looking for the pic I saw the other day of all the slimes in Despise.

Update:
I guess that pic was from Covetous too:

These giant rats and slimes are reason number 754 why people earn a lot more gold per hour here than they did back then. Unless you had TONS of red potions, it was easy to get hemmed in by these guys, and if there was even a gazer or air elemental nearby, you were as good as dead. You'd be disrupted far too much to finish a bandage, and even teleporting out took valuable seconds and probably a couple disruptions.
