Is it era accurate that one cast of arch cure can cure the level 5 poison that comes from a GM made tinker trap?

Hope not!

I saw when your friend activated one of your traps (britain bank) and he was almost dying when everyone came together and started casting all kinds of spells trying to dispel it (it was very funny)...
come on man! you wanna kill everyone with traps?

I remember casting cure on trapped box openers in town without any luck. Usually just giving up and letting the person die. I also remember chugging all 4 of my cure pots against the Poison elemental's poison and not being able to shake it off (lost a good runebook that way)

Two things however:
1) I was not GM mage on OSI for a long time (same with most people I'd guess) so maybe the lack of GM mage was came into play.

2) Poison as a whole seems easier to remove here, but memory is bad.

IIt's era accurate that there is a chance of it, but i think that chance should be low. Our cure rates are based on stratics essays and a gm mage does have a way better shot than at it, I can check success rates on this, but before I do too much digging, was this just something that you observed once, or frequently?

I only tried it once I suppose. At GM mage, I couldn't cure it with normal cure, but cured it first shot with arch cure. I'll experiment more with it and report back!

regular cure has very low success chance to cure, while archcure has a somewhat higher chance, i'm sure you just got lucky on your first try, I've failed with archcure numerous times.. and i've also cured on my first Gcure pot numerous times.. i think it's a % chance so you may get it your first time for the rest of your UO career if your lucky

dont forget archcure is 4th circle, 2 times higher than cure so it should be more powerful

I have observed this as well.

Arch cure, on this server, cures DP and lvl 5 poison (from poison ellies/tinkered traps) 95 % of the time (i've actually observed about 20 cures with NO failure, i just don't want to say 100%)

I do not remember arch cure being able to cure high lvl poisons this well on OSI. This really does need to be looked into, while it should be able to cure DP at the same rate if not a few % points higher than regular cure, it should not be able to cure lvl 5 poison :) period

Yeah we tried it at brit bank, first arch cure cured it.

Im positive when it happened to me as a newer player on OSI they didnt get it cured.I had 6 or 7 GM healers and a couple mages trying to cure me for about 20 minutes before we gave up and let me die.

People are going to die to an explosion trap anyways, its just a lot more fun to watch people try to save a guy thats lvl 5 tinker poisoned!!

I cure silver serp and nox trapped boxes with arch cure easy everytime...it hardly fails. With arch cure the most i've ever had to cure was twice with it.

did some testing with poison elementals. Arch cure only failed once out of 10 poisonings
