Trapped Boxes

Post by Twiz »

Does picking up a trapped box set it off? I thought you had to open it to set it off.
I saw that Chum had set his boxes out again so I figured I'd pick them up and take them home but the second I dropped it in my bag, it went off. I play on a laptop and I sometimes dclick stuff on accident when dragging it around because I always have a finger hovering over the touchpad. Fuck me, I'm a tard.
I went and grabbed a second one (paying close attention to move my finger away from the touchpad before I dropped the box in my bag) and BOOM!
Fuck I'm a tard again or did I just not understand how they work?

Razor has a feature that autosearches all added containers for your reagent counters, do do this it has to open them. This feature can be disabled, it's a checkbox in the bottom left corner of the Display/Counters tab.

I wonder how many times Razor has gotten me killed because of all these random settings I've never paid attention to.
That's it, I'm blaming Razor.
Deacon didn't kill me 7 times, it was a bad Razor setting. I'm sure I would've been able to take him had it not been for Razor...

Wow, that's good to know, that's pretty much how I die every single time from a trapped box.

I thought back in the day you could trap a box that was on the ground or in your house and not recieve aggression or murder counts when someone opened it. Am I right?

I'm pretty sure you always received a murder count. I remember some of the people who had the most murder counts were actually tinkers'.
They would make boxes and drop them in Brit and people would pick them up.

This is true, and is something that is on the list to be implemented, there is a patch note specifically on this from the era, but do not have the link right handy.
