Are GEXP potions bugged?
They seem extremely random to me.
1st issue, if you throw a gexp too early, it will blow up in your face. Try it, throw a gexp when it shows 2-1 and it will not projectile. It will hit your face. This makes no sense, they should throw early and continue the countdown (as it works if you throw em showing 3).
2nd issue, they seem more random now (is this due to latency?). Muscle memory has trained me to throw em almost exactly at the same time, but they sometimes hit my face and sometimes they hit my target.

works fine for me
[14:17] <UOSAPlayer4056> cr3w guild is a joke. Ran by staff members, multi client pking, this shards a joke and a half.

Re: Are GEXP potions bugged?
Explain why it blows up early then.

Re: Are GEXP potions bugged?
I did some testing,
Pinging between 49-53 each time I ran a macro to, use pot, wait, then target an opponent. The Delay column, is the time (in ms) i put in the wait. The Hm/Tt ratio is the how many times it hit me instead of the targert out of the total (10) throws at that delay. I checked the ping each and every time.
Delay(razor)---Hm/Tt
2000----------0/10
2500----------10/10
2600----------0/10*
2700----------7/10*
2800----------5/10
2900----------9/10
2950----------5/10
3000----------2/10
3100----------3/10
3200----------2/10
3300----------5/10
3400----------10/10
Ok, now I see something funny here. The "sweet" spot seems to be around 3200ms. So naturally, tossing before that should at least fly to it's destination. Simply not the case, 2950-3100 seemed to hit me a bit, and 2700-2950 seemed to hit me the majority of the time. Somehow, magically at 2600, you almost never get hit, but then go a bit lower to 2500 and it hits you almost everytime??
Uh, wtf?
I have noticed that the timer on the potion seems to start at a different time (3 comes up a few ms sooner/later) which I attribute to the "tick" system. Something is certainly funny with this system. I think the use/toss functions may be on the tick system, but the actual counter is not, or the inverse of that?
At first I thought it was simply from the start/stop being tick based not syncing with the delay (in real time) on razor. But the difference between the two "sweet spots" are ~600ms apart. That is larger than a tick!
I think it would be very informative if other people could replicate this test (lesser potions are fine to use), listing their ping and outcomes over the scope that I covered.
GomerPyle: Is that really civil? Try contributing something or go play in trash-talk section.

Re: Are GEXP potions bugged?
My guess, and this is a total guess, but my guess is that with the tick system, when you double-click the potion to start the timer, the timer doesn't start until the next tick, so it can take anywhere from .01 to .25 seconds to begin the timer.
Anyways, even before the tick system, I had major problems getting a purple potion macro to work correctly. And if I tried to use the macro while moving, forget it. It was complete random nonsense.
Are you guys having issues when throwing them manually? (i.e. Use Purple Potion hotkey, then manually wait, then manually hit Last Target?) It might be the case that you now have to watch for the 3... 2... 1... and click it at some time relative to the 1, rather than the way we used to do it, which was to click it at some time relative to when you originally used the potion.

Re: Are GEXP potions bugged?
I think something is wrong with it too.
Some other things on UOSA aren't working as intended either, like archery. It does no damage to stuff.
A vanq xbow takes 4-6 hits to kill a mongbat.

always throw by hand..
the people using macros are ones saying "wtf pots dont work"

I know how to get them to work, while I'm not perfect I still think something is alittle wrong with the code.Sandro wrote:always throw by hand..

I mean, you can still throw them with a macro if you're 2-4 steps behind your opponent. Macros still work with short range. However you can't throw purples as good as TG(long range) unless you manually time it.
Look at what Matron said. That's the same issue I'm having, sometimes it's totally random and doesn't seem to add up as you test throwing at different times and ranges. It blows up yourself for reasons unknown.
Re: Are GEXP potions bugged?
How can you hit yourself ten out of ten times with a delay of 2.5s on a 3 second timer?
Two scenarios here...
1. Matron doesn't know how to do an experiment right at all.
2. Something is horribly wrong with this.
I don't see how it's even possible to hit yourself by releasing at 2500ms... Are you lobbing these things back to back allowing the action delay to trigger or what?

Re: Are GEXP potions bugged?
holy poo its really not that hard, it takes the ability to read and acknowledge a number then press the last target hotkey..

Re: Are GEXP potions bugged?
Easy, I got off the forums and performed the test. I know exactly what I was doing, if the delay for the timer to reach the next tick to trigger the action was the problem, there would only be a variable range of abour 2-300ms somewhere across the spread.Faust wrote:How can you hit yourself ten out of ten times with a delay of 2.5s on a 3 second timer?
