Hey all,
I want to start macroing my magery (currently at 62) but I feel like it would be a waste to do it in town and not gain the resist I could form doing it in a house. From what I've read the best way to do this is cast on yourself in a house but have a healer char there to heal you. So my questions are:
1) Whats a good healer template and how can I macro healing up to a good enough lvl? How many bandages will it take?
2) What is the best macro/approach once my healer is ready to help my mage raise magery/resist.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks guys,
Niko

1) If you only want him for healing, then, whatever template, just make sure you have both anatomy and healing. The best way to macro, would be first to GM Anatomy (macroing it on a guard or other NPC in town). Then trap a medium/smallish animal in your house (depending on the target's melee skill) and have it attack such target (3rd char) (make sure your target tabs out so you don't kill the animal). The healer should just heal as needed, up to 60 healing. Once you hit 60 healing, change the trapped animal for a snake (the small version is the only viable), or a spider or scorpion, and have it poison the target, have the target move away, be cured, healed, and then move back in. Do that until 80 healing, then after that try to res a ghost till GM. How many aids? I don't know...a ton. Visit any decent rune lib, and they should have at least 10 spots to gather wool/cotton/flax around Brittania, make a run and you should end up with about 2-3k bandaids. Wait an hour, and make another run. You will need several runs to gather enough bandies.Nikodemos wrote:Hey all,

2) What I use is something like:
If Mana >= XX
If Hits >= XX
Cast XX
wait for target
target self
end if
end if
If Mana <= XX
Use skill meditation
pause XXXX ms
say: (whatever)
end if
If (regent 1) <= 0
If (regent 2) <= 0
(restock agent)
pause XXX ms
Absolute target (restocking bag)
end if
end if
This will raise your meditation also. If you do not need to raise med, edit appropriately. The XX's should be shifting depending on your skill level's evolution.
Healer is simply:
dbl click by type bandages
wait for target
absolute target (the target of the spells)
pause XX secs

Re: Healer template/macro to help raise magery/resist
While Pirul's method def. works I went a little different way.
If you want to create a healer/dexxer type char eventually, start him with 50healing (something else at 50, I did resist) then GM anatomy...
you can use this character (50 heal/100anat) to heal, while your other char casts on himself getting up magery /resist
any macro even just last object / last target works and can put in a long wait like 60 seconds (in order to heal your caster, with this method you will use significantly less bandaids than regs)
on your caster you can put a "Wait for HP" > 30 or so infront of your macro so that if you get down to 30 HP you will stop casting and not kill yourself...
and you won't continually be wasting bandages healing one cast of an e-bolt
i think this method is best if you are tyring to curb costs (not waste bandaids) and don't care about GM'ing healing as fast as possible... (this will also take longer as you may stop for 60 seconds if you fail to heal and your mage char is waiting for hp >30 and the macro needs to loop again)
by the time you are GM Magery/Resist you will probably be over 80 healing and can then macro the rest Rezzing a ghost when you have the time/money
