Trash Talk/Flaming Competition - Thanks for Attending!!
Posted: Tue Jun 08, 2010 4:16 am
Think you are a leet trash talker and forum/IRC PvPer? Prove it face to face.
How it works:
Competitors will stand directly across from one another IN GAME and engage in leet 1v1 verbal competition. Each contender will have exactly 1 minute to trash talk/flame his opponent about any UOSA relevant topic of his choosing (see rules) without interruption. Then, a panel of non biased judges will determine the winner of the round. The scoring system will be based on 3 criteria: UO relevancy, Creativity, and the "wtf pwned" factor. Points will be taken away for repeat insults and rule violations (see below). This is not an opportunity to simply see how many "f bombs" or "ur mom jokes" someone can drop in one minute. Instead, points will be awarded to those who think out their trash talk in a creative manner. The idea is not to make enemies, but to have some fun and give the audience some laughs. Entry is free.
Prizes:
1st: 60k
2nd: 10k
3rd: 5k
The rules are:
Must be UO relevant
No racially insensitive terms and slurs
No gender insensitive terms and slurs
(All at the discretion of the judges)
All judges are expected to be fair unbiased in their scoring.
WARNING: ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK
Expect to be thoroughly insulted, but know it's all in good fun and your opponent probably doesn't mean those things he said lol.
If you are interested in being a judge or making a donation to the prize pool, post here.
Sign ups are closed for participants.
The actual event will take place at the "King's Men Theater" in Britain on Sunday June 27th at 8 PM EST. The general public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Judges and Contestants should be at the "King's Men Theater" no later than 15 minutes prior to start. Before the event begins, I will give a brief explanation and reminder to all about the rules.
Scoring:
Each of the three judges will be able to allow competitors a maximum of 10 points per round for a possible total of 30. This is divided into three subcategories. 3 points for UOSA relevancy, 3 points for Creativity, and 4 points for the "wtf pwned" factor. The judges will announce the total of their results as a group score instead of individually to avoid any post event complications. The contestant with the highest number of points advances to the next round. Who goes first in each round has already been determined by who is on top in the bracket posted above.
