Will it auto-draw gold from your bank, or do you have to have it in your backpack? thanks!

More accurately: it will draw the funds from your backpack if you have enough gold on you, otherwise it will get the full amount from your bank.
Non-player vendors operate the same way for transactions of 2000gp or more.
