UO Second Age

I've got a character that's trying to train hiding. I've been doing nothing but hiding for about 12 hours of macroing straight and I'm stuck at 96.1. I've logged out/in. This was across a server restart. I'm outside of guarded areas (but not in a dungeon).

Any help?

-update: I killed myself and now it's going up normally.

The other people in the vicinity make a difference in the difficulty of hiding, you can't GM it all alone I don't believe

I gm'd it in the stables. lots of stuff around. Also make sure you have available skill points.

i never knew other players had an affect on the hiding success rate..

at gm it makes no difference, but at lower skill levels other mobiles in the area can contribute to failure

I macro'd hiding naked @ the minoc/vesper banks, GM'd in no time.

You really shouldn't walk around naked, or hide in that matter. It can raise eyebrows.

i am jealous. if i walked around naked or i would be laughed at, i would get pretty upset.
