Med/warrior

Post by Green44 »

Woot , Just found this server, gonna take a big bite out of it. See if it really brings back the oldschool I once knew.

The only era I played in more then 5 mins is T2A and UO:R

I was a Noob in t2A and advanced into UO:R ,. stoped playing maby a month after house placement n tram and the true death of fel took place.

Will my template work here? I remember I was called a med/warrior by lots of pvpers.

Meditation 50
Hiding 50

Healing
Anatomy
Tactics
Macefighting ---> Q-staff
resisting spells
Magery

I used to just stand in one spot hit a bandage --> eat a pot--> spam lesser heals and heal off most of the spike type damage dumps from hally mages and other types of 2 spell insta hitset ups.

Q-staff used to just own stam, and lock 25 dex mages in one spot when they were out of red pots.

my template A UO:R ? dont realy matter I guess,. thats what im going to bring back to life. muwhahhaa

Welcome to Second Age.
I'll let someone else comment on the template, but it doesn't look UO:R to me.

It's a very annoying template because if you get poisoned you can always cure yourself right before bandages go off. And if you get too low you can always g heal. Basically this is a tank/mage template but instead of using spells to kill your opponent you use your staff. It's a pretty common template now and its proved pretty deadly... So I'd say go for it. Maybe drop hiding and get full up on med though.

Drop hiding and GM meditation, and you have a char with identical skills as one of mine (also a fan of the quarterstaff).

I find it works well.

50/50 skills imo aren't worth it and you lose a skill..

As for meditation, I suggest wrestling, but thats my playstyle.

This was a template I used in 98-99 as well. It was by far my most deadliest character to solo with. Using a Vanq or power quater staff was just devastating. I have since made this template on here and it works great. I dropped med for Wrestle as I find it comes in more handy against mages trying to finish you with a hally hit. With my stats being 100 str 40 int 85 dex I have more then enough mana to withstand a mage for the amount of time I need to drop them. I used to go back and forth med and wrestle on osi. Now I just take off my armor if I fight a mage and wear it when I fight another dexxer.

if you were to go the wrestle route gm it and dont do hiding. But really if you wanted to go the med route. 50 med 50 hide could possibly work out well.
Personally I find wrestle is the best for the amount of casting youll probably nd up doing.

WHAT A GREAT IDEA.

Whoever came up with that whole 'wrestling on melee' thing must of been a genius.

I say drop med, hide and magery, so you can add stealing and snooping. You'll soon be a lil' chum! Though seriously, less than GM in any skill is almost always a waste of time. The advice these guys are giving seems sound.

He uses his magery to cure and heal etc and the quarter staff to deal out damage, eval not needed really
