Most newbied items do break. Drums however do not (or their durability is so high that they are virtually unbreakable) as I'm still on my very first set of drums on my provo t hunter, and he's used em A LOT!.

Some noob items do break now but I can say that instruments I don't believe are one of them. I've been using my same tambourine on my bard for about 10 months now and they've played a lot of tunes with no signs of slowing down.

I've been pounding my instrument constantly for years and it still works fine.

Maybe you're doing it wrong and someone else should pound your instrument. For science.

Wait newbie instruments break?
Could my instrument be gfd? I've had it on my bard, literally, for 4 years. Never needed another instrument.

Clothing, and instruments don't. Fighting with say the dagger or hatchet will break it. I use those only as a head cutta and trap breaker :).
