Sounds like you got scammed by whomever did your copying.

Matron: No scam involved. The key was an origional blank newbied key from an old character of mine. Tested it, it was newbied. Copied it myself, it was no longer newbied. Not sure why, but that's what happened.

Not saying this is a scam, or that the same thing will happen, just offering up a warning from personal experience. Copying may go fine for you, maybe I'm an idiot and somehow messed things up. Totally possible. Anyway, luck to the bidders.
