Wrestling and Tactics

True or False: Tactics raises while training wrestling.

The answer, based on my training this afternoon, appears to be FALSE. Which kinda surprises me. And yes I checked my locks. Any thoughts?

I thought it did, but extremely slowly (I had around 99.5 Tactics when I was using it). Maybe 'cause it doesn't do much damage? I don't know how Tactics raise, but it might not raise at all with Wrestling.

I have 96 tactics but was gaining steadily while GM'ing swords. When I hit 100 on swords, I was at 96 tactics. For the past 30 minutes I've been wrestling (from 0) with no gain in tactics. So I'm thinking wrestling doesn't raise tactics. That's just too long to not see even 0.1 gain.

Thanks ....... so if I'm at 96 tactics I need to continue to train in a weapon skill that's higher than my tactics. In this case, "training" GM swords will continue to raise my tactics. Whatever works I guess.

Every time I trained a weapon skill on OSI, I'd GM tactics long before my wep skill would GM. Not sure if it's the method of training the skill that is causing the difference.

On OSI I'd usually go ~80 skill at covetous harpies and GM at the bone wall over many nights, here just macro to GM in 4-5 hours. I'm fairly certain GMing was not this easy on OSI.. I was able to get my skill into the high 90's fighting timber wolves at Moonglow on my first character (and I'm sure it would've taken me to GM). I was able to finish off GMing on liches while I earned.. liches are like 100% chance to hit. I never used to get gains from liches on OSI on unfinished characters.

As a rule of thumb, I'm usually around 99 tactics after GMing a weapon skill + wrestling on UOSA.

Yeah, I remember Tactics GMing before weapon skills, myself.
