UO Second Age

My Fisherman was just murdered at sea. There were about 5 or so attackers on 2 seperate boats. No big deal, I mean its a big ocean and im sure the chances of running into another person are pretty slim so good for them. I was watching the end of Conan the Barbarian when the attack took place and my main defense consisted of "turn left" . After my fisher was dead they boxed me in with their two boats. I thought "are these ass holes gonna just trap my boat and log out to grief me"? Then they started to telekenises the hold. So i kept turning the boat left and right which i believe broke their view of my hold. They were persistant and kept telekenisising the hold and i kept wiggling left and right. They were determined but one boat made the mistake of moving up a bit to stop me from wiggling. I bolted and got 2 or 3 tiles ahead of the lead boat. I just kept on heading south and was prepared to do so untill server down. They gave up after about 3 minutes or so.

My main question is, " COULD THEY HAVE LOOTED ANYTHING FROM THE HOLD".

I know for a fact that boat looting was possilble a while back. I could find a boat parked too close to the shoreline and open the hold and grab items. I could also grab items from all over the deck depending on how close i could get to the boat and its orientation. But im pretty sure these mechanics were changed at some point to prevent that type of occurance. IS THERE ANY WAY TO LOOT BOATS, HOLDS, CORPSES ON BOATS, OR ANYTHING.

An addition to this guys question, do thinks on a boat decay?

If not, is it reasonable to palce a chest in the center to place all your loot in?

If you are Aquaman, we were doing was telekinesis on your body to check for the ship key. If the guy casting it saw the key on your corpse he could recall off of it and onto your boat. There was no key so we left.

I believe i have had item looted from the center of my boat before, so is this still possible?

I was killed the other day and all they were able to loot was about 200k raw fishsteaks I had close to my gangplank. I didn't lose anything else and they actually did me a favor cleaning them off my deck

Never have your boat key on you when on your boat and never put anything on your recall spot on your boat.

I have been fishing for over 2 months and this is the first time I have been PK'd. I had another guy try a few days back but he decided to run after my first 2 bow shots took him below half health.

i was told by someone that the two tiles directly behind the mast (towards the tillerman), in the center of a boat are unlootable. i don't know if its true, but there have been a few times i've been pked at sea and they are like "jackpot!" but then they never loot anything from behind the mast. so i think its true but i'm not 100%

hopefully it is, because you can stack like 10 bags each on those two tiles and its like really cheap storage

Boat Holds are NOT lootable

Items stacked in front and behind the Mast are NOT lootable
(on larger boats you have additional locations in front and behind the mast)

Items along side the railing ARE Lootable

Keep in Mind!!!

NO ONE can see the items on your Boat Deck. Unless you Move the Boat!

Yeah that was me. So you were Tele'ng my corpse not the hold. Ok he didnt have anything on him, those keys are always locked up in the bank. So does distance play any factor in a recall off a corpse? If i had a rune on me could you recall off that while it was on my body? Does the body fall into the same catergory as an item? Like if my corpse falls in the middle of the boat by the mast you cant take stuff but if i fall on one side of the boat he can be freely looted by a boat along side?

And just to clarify..."There is NO way to loot a hold from another ship" . Is this statement correct? I would hate to think that if you got your prow under the hold or opened your plank and strectched out you could open another boats hold...I would hate to think that cause i havent been able to get that to work anymore.

I dont think things decay on boats...Ive had a stack of fishcakes there for about a month. People used to decorate their boats and leave them by towns, like britain, Used to be alot of vendor runes on boats...but i think a patch went through that made it impossible to see what was on the deck of a boat you didnt own.
