Ha, I was running by that vendor just a bit ago and was going to stock up.

Good thing I thought it was too good to be true.

That vendor got me too last week.

I'm pretty new on the server and wanted to buy my first full spellbook. I thought that vendor would be legit because it was well organized, had spellbooks, runebooks, and stuff like that.

I did get a legit book from the $$$ vendors at the southern tip of Moonglow for 5k.

If you use item identification on a spell book, it will tell you how many spells are in it.

Fortunately, this is a mistake you (and I) will only make once. I bought a blank spellbook from a spammer at the Vesper bank the other day.

Yep I actually got mine from $$$ too after that. I was notified after the fact that I could use ItemID to see how many spells there were :>

Can you use the id wand trick through trade window? There was a guy selling full spellbooks in moonglow for 2500gp. I got out my id wand and the spellbook only said "spellbook". He said "did you id it?" "hits full" and then ran off... lol

Only the item identification spell reveals the spells contained, ID wands do not.

Not sure if this is intended as "era accurate" or just a bug that hasn't been brought to attention.
