Definitely my favorite PvM moment on UOSA. Full invulnerable plate armor, protection jewelry, and an invulnerable heater shield = 94 AR, plus 15 AR from a cast Protection from an alt. +25 war axe of vanquishing, and magic reflect jewelry (hey it's only fair, the AW has reflect so I should too)
Toe-to-toe next to him the entire time.
I died 3 times before I had this success

Wow that's very cool. I didn't think it was even possible to tank an Ancient Wyrm like that. Thanks for posting it.

Pretty sure he does have parry. But a wyrm posioned all the time so he had to have a hand free to chug a cure pot ever 1-2 secs.

Exactly - between the equip delay and the extra hotkeys, it just wasn't manageable. I tried it earlier with the shield on, and it was ridiculously awesome for the first 12 seconds. Then I took a firebreath for like 45 and got poisoned and didn't have time to unequip and chug a cure before my bandage finished. There's so much going on, it was just an added wrinkle that messed things up. If you spend a bandage curing poison while he's got 50%+ health, you're done for. The firebreath just hurts too badly. And I needed to concentrate more on reflecting spells. His ebolts do 24 damage on average (maybe more, actually, since he might have over 100 Eval), whereas his hits maybe did 10.
Against every other monster, Parry is a huge help. Even Balrons, you can take pretty easily without even using reflect jewels. But it was a waste of 100 skill points in this fight.
