how do you raise your hiding skill? i have been using hide for a while but it hasnt gone up a single point

Keep hiding. 8x8 doesn't work here, so just keep hiding. Make sure you are not at or skill cap, or if you are, that you have others pointed down. Hiding does gain pretty slowly sometimes.

Set up a razor macro to hide and leave it running, you'll come back with gains.

Do this at a public place, not sure if you can gain in a house.

ya. you'll hide everytime with 0 hiding if you're in your home. Hiding really slows down around 60. Just keep your macro looped. 10 second delay is good.

so should i hide in my house or in a public place?

public place, put your shtuff in the bank and just go at it in town on a road or somethin

You can gain in a house, but only if your not a friend or co-owner. It does how ever cap fairly low, and then you will have to macro in public.

when was the 'hiding' patch added to the name. i remember being able to tab and hide w/ in view of my attacker. late 98?? early 99? i was only playing for 3-4 months before they 'fixed' it

you can still hide in view of your attacker as long as you are gm
