Does armor rating reduce the effect of stamina damage when confronted by a macer?

It does not. It's a possible random nominal amount (1 to 3ish I think) of stamina loss on any successful mace hit.

Three to five according to the weapon's table.
'99 Weapon's Table - http://web.archive.org/web/19991013070417/uo.stratics.com/arms.htm wrote:* Maces do an extra damage of 3 to 5 points to the victims stamina if a hit is made. Maces also do damage to armor everytime the armor absorbs damage. The amount of damage done to armor is half that of the damage points absorbed by the armor and typically lies in the 1 - 7 points range.
Pretty sure you verified this in the past Derrick but may be a good idea to check again.

Also, this reminds me of something... Would there be any way to fix the speed attribute of the katana on that table since it was fixed to the Stratics error of 48? It's rather misleading now since that change was made.

That is a TON of damage to armor.

Heaters have 31 to 37 HPs. Average 34. Which means on average, they can only absorb 68 HPs of damage from a mace weapon before breaking?! That's only 4-5 hits.

I remember doing that kind of damage back on OSI. I used to duel my RL friends with my macer for fun and they would sometimes go thru 3-4 shield and maybe a tunic during fights against me. With my macer/swordsman I would mess around with them til I beat em half naked before swapping out for the hally. Quite a bit of this was during UO:R, so the patch may have jacked up macer damage to armor then, but I cant recall if this was the case, perhaps its T2A accurate as well.
