UO Second Age

hi i was curious that if me and a friend made thunters that if 1 could take carto and the other take lockpicking because with our builds we both got 1 extra skill and we were gopnna take hiding for pvp/pvm but t hunting looks fun. Only prob is im not sure if whoever deciphers the map has to be the one to lock pick it? or can anyone lockpick the chest once its up? if in party?

Cartography is only for deciphering the map and digging up the chest...
lockpicking is totally seperate and can be done by anyone who has the skill.
