Why is resetting still allowed? It really makes no sense, defeats the point of CTF and one team usually wins uncontested because of it.
Teamwork isn't a great defense on this either, it's pretty hard for me to explain to GY noob 1 through 3 what to do while 2 mages on the other team are simply holding the flag FOREVER until we finally slip up after ten minutes.
Dying and picking up shouldn't reset it's timer, I was shocked to see that it even still worked.

there shouldnt be a timer
it should be up to the team to get the flag back, not let the flags timer bring it back for them

That seems like how it should work for a real game of capture the flag now doesn't it.

I havent played on this shard yet but I agree a timer is kind of lame.

If this is implemented, then stealing the flag should also be allowed.

That would be interesting.

I agree, remove resetting.
Keep the timer in place.

I didn't vote, because I agree with blackfoot. No timer would be better. If the timer is kept and resetting is removed, a new tactic of waiting for the other team to take your flag before you take theirs will come about. You capture when their timer runs out, while yours has a few seconds left since you waited. I don't see that as better than what we have now.

I like my idea of having a half-life for the flag timer.
Each time it is reset, the timer is halved. So if you reset it once, you have 90 seconds until it needs to be returned, then 45, then 23, etc. This keeps resetting as an option, but one that decreases in usefulness. A capture obviously restarts the reset-counter.

I'll remove the timer and we'll see how that works. If that doesn't work we'll look at a more complex solution.
I like the idea of stealing the flag, not sure what constraints there should be on that though.

I don't see how it would work though... GM thief (they all are) presses his single key that steals and targets by type...

Can Razor target a flag by type?

Both teams can refresh the flag I don't understand the problem.
