Detect Hidden & Lock Picking

I've heard somewhere that detect hidden helps lock picking. How much detect hidden would someone with about 95 - 96 lock picking need to pick a lvl 5 map chest if this is true?

Yeah the patch prior to the vendor patch just made this happen.
