UO Second Age

Seeing as the rare prices are fluctuating randomly between experienced buyers and inexperienced buyers, those of us who have been collecting for awhile, have decided to help you out by making sure you are paying a fair price. Below is a list of rares, and what you can expect to be paying for them at a reasonable level, based on there looks, and rarity. The list is a collaboration of some of the top rare collectors on the server, and prices have been checked over by multiple people, including Blackfoot. Adjustments will be made when seen fit, enjoy knowing what you're buying is really worth, and elude those unscrupulous dealers!

**NOTE** There are plenty of rares missing from here, they will be added when prices can be agreed upon!

Keg - Identical to Crafted Empty Keg, pretty much worthless

very nice post. I agree that the ballpark prices listed here are pretty accurate. ( plus or minus on a couple items)

(empty jar price is waaaaay off.. 10-20k IMHO)

Seeing some of these yew gate vendors just make me laugh with their rare pricing. Then again, an item is worth what others are willing to pay for it!

I wouldn't go as far as saying the stand is still worth that much, since the fluxuation in rare prices, yeah maybe, but thats hardly what it's really worth, or atleast I'd hope no one would be willing to pay that.

The rest I agree with, and i'll add them on there later, damaged books is still one of the hardest spawning to get, as well as the vases

Don't mean to make trouble, but later, could you duplicate that list and arrange by price, too? That would also be another way people look up items.

I could do that as well, Just need to get interested again my motivation comes in bursts, but I'll definetly get to it, and it's a great idea, thanks for thinking it!

Vendor prices for rares have historically been at least double what they are in forums (more educated players in forums than in game i guess)

Rares are worth whatever someone will pay for them, period.

Rope should be 10k. I bought mine for 10k (I was the only bidder). I've seen them on vendors in the past week for 10k-12k.

This is only true when the buyer is fully informed on what they are buying. Which is rare here.

Who the heck cares what someone is willing to pay for an item you scallywag.

Maybe if there wasn't buggers like Cata/BF hawking every spawning rare (and controlling the supply with their greedy hands) then prices might be more stable.

A pixel "getting out of hand" is rather silly.

you are aware that prices change based on the amount of gold in the economy and the playerbase, not what you payed for them when there were 100 players on the shard? ok then.

When was the last time you saw me hunt/sell a rare?
Please try and stay constructive to the purpose of the thread or dont post in it.
The goal is to better inform players who dont have experience in the market here of what they are being sold.

Damaged books have been at 250k for a while. Price hasn't fluctuated at all.

The prices are getting a bit insane... but if people are going to pay it then cheers to the seller.

But whats with foul language in the posts? a sticky post at that....
Even the main post that started this thread is hostile. I had a post where i said biotch and i got a warning. Thats not even a bad word!
