You may have used PM to scam it but it's still a scam and that makes you a known scammer. NO one should buy from you under any circumstances.

I enjoyed the post.

Its still a scam if someone uses the main or the trading channel to get attention and take it to the private chat.

Someone is abusing the scam-free channels to perpetrate his scam at a private chat -> makes no diffrence.

Any messaging-system like the forums or irc should be entirely free of scams. Why should scammers be permitted to use mass reaching programs like irc for their scams, this would make no sense and bring the irc rules ad absurdum.
