Aren't bardiches basically as powerful as hallies

I know that the downside is that they are stealable, but that's relatively minor I would think. I just don't get while it would be hard to sell two unused +20 bardiches of power on my vendor (vendor Amata located across the brit moongate, about one screen NE into the woods).
