I have noticed alot of people with sheep trapped in their homes is this for wool gathering? How long do the trapped animals stay in your home?

Forever as long as they are targeted once every, what is it, 20 hours? This could be shearing, animal lore, etc.

Is unattended shearing considered resource gathering? I think I read that you couldn't do it somewhere, but want to clarify before I start training my tailor.
