GM Fisherman here

I fish for a hour straight and get 0 maps and 0 mibs,
ran across 2 water ellies and then fished up 2 Deep Sea Serpents,
still fishing... will update as i go
and i noticed that i stll get blocked by arrows, gold and other junik in the water.
finally got 1 mib took about 90 minutes... then 13 minutes late pulled up a sea serpent
15 minutes later i get a sea serpent then a Deep Sea Serpent just 30 seconds after killing the Sea Serpent, i have also notice that the Serpents are NOT auto attacking when they come up.
another 15 minutes and get another Sea Serpent
Just got my 2nd MIB .. just about an hour after the first one then about 30 seconds later .. i get another serpent!
5 minutes later i get MIB #3 and run into a random sea serpent.
30 minutes later i get MIB #4 ... still not a single map
30 second later i get MIB #5
another 10 seconds and i finally fish up a Map
25 minutes later i get a Sea Serpent followed by MIB #6

Overall the MIB spawn seems ok i guess ... Map Spawn is seriously week.
Love the increased Deep Sea Serpents ...

Done fishing for the day ... time to go out with the girlfriend

i thought we changed it so that GM fishermen no longer fail thus no longer fish up serps?

Aye... that lil fix didn't quite work on the first attempt

would like to add .. I fished up 2 SoS chest during my lil fishing trip today and both where a level 1 chest. and a Guildmate went out and fished up 4 SOS chests ... all 4 were level 1's...
was this caused by the last patch? or just rotten Luck?

ive fished up 4 so far out of five.

first 3 were lvl 1's

the fourth was a level 3.

heading to #5 now...

its a lvl 1.

so, 4 lvl 1's and a level 3. out of 5

Something looks in error with the pulling of serps, this will require another look. Thanks for the reports.

They will get it right eventually. I am just happy that the staff are acutally taking the time to try and correct things.

Just wanted to add, not quite GM yet (98.8 when this patch went in, 99.6 now) and in the 4-5 hours I've been fishing on this patch I have one T-map to show for it...previously they seemed to pop about ~30 minutes

No idea pre patch fishing as I just GMed but:

I've had similarly unexpected results with fishing.

Previously, we would pull up [deep] sea serpents and the MiB would be on their corpse. Now, we can fish up MiB's without a serpent, or serpents without MiB's.

As far as luck of the MiB goes, I Think it's about the same,

last 10 mibs I fished up

I have pulled up serps
But chest wise, 8 out of 10 were either lvl 2 or lvl 3 chests--although very few sellable items, less than normal. Usually I get more then 1 keeper out of a lvl 3 chest, just hasnt been the case.
This is in the last 24 hours, so it may be just bad luck.

Sounds like it is a streak of bad luck...all it takes is a patch for most of us to freak out about something
