Yikes, OK... how about server restart on Tuesday (so 7am EST, Tuesday morning). I should be around Tuesday evening for transaction.

Also, someone PMed about a buyout and I told them 60k. So that goes for anyone.

I thought this was an auction ending Tuesday, did you really expect the first bid to be a real amount? Especially when the opening bid was 30k? Why not run a fair auction and let time take it's course?

I don't know what to tell you. It was up for 18 hours. If you wanted to pay 61k, you should have just posted that in the first place. Everyone on this board wastes time lowballing, then complains when someone PMs or buys it out.

How was this not a fair auction? I posted a Buy It Now price when asked. Someone posted that they'd have paid that. Again... don't complain if you saw my listing and didn't post your max bid.

If you didn't see the post in time, I am sorry. This was my first try at a sale on here and I had no idea how good this katana really is.

Anyways... Downs PMed me about a transaction, and since then has been MIA. No responses from him, nor is he online or in IRC. So at this point, I'm assuming he's not interested. I may post it again or I may hang onto it. I don't know.

The auction was until Tuesday and then you changed it mid-go, as for posting a max bid, I guess you don't know how auctions work? No one steps up and slaps down a dominating bid if they can get it for cheaper. I'm just saying changing the rules to an auction mid-auction is very unethical on UO, on any game, and in real life.

I didn't realize it was your first attempt to sell an item here, maybe I wouldn't have acted so rash (maybe).

It's funny, I almost put a disclaimer on the original posting about "I reserve the right to edit, cancel, modify, etc., the auction at any time", but I figured that was generally implied in these things.

If I "knew how auctions work" here, I probably would have put a higher buyout given I had a few people PM me about paying the buyout, plus I can only assume you'd have paid 60k or more as well.

I don't know anyone here IRL, I'm not in a guild, I have no "friends" in this game, so you're off base if you think I somehow rigged it or "wanted" it to end early. Rest assured, if I could have gotten 100k for it, I certainly would have preferred that.
