NPC Fishermen's Guild?

I noticed a Fishermens Guildmaster on the docks in Brit. Is there a point to joining it like a thief would join the Thieves Guild to steal from players?

I tried but it said I was to young but that was 20 fishing skill points ago.
Ill give it another try!

You'll get discounts on fishing equipment (poles) for being in the guild.
You need to be a 7 day old character to join any NPC guild.
There are also Mage, Smith, Tinker, Merchants guilds and more.

Is there a Pirate Guildmaster, shipmate? Well, besides HardCore, I already know about
his discounts.

Heh, well considering you can technically GM fishing with the same pole you started with, that's a bit disappointing.
Now, being able to sell fish/fish steaks in BULK at premium prices...
THAT would be worth it.
