				dec hidden, how it works at the moment:
       dec hidden delay 10secs, reaveals a huge area
alteration:
        dec hidden delay 5secs, reaveals only an area like 8*8

				Hail and well met!
This does sound like an improvement over the status quo. Hiders/Stealthers are pretty much SOL whenever there's a detecter on screen. 
DH would still be a powerful skill, especially in combination with tracking.

Hi Troubadix, welcome to UOSA
Every thing here is based on era accuracy.  So if something about detect is currently different than how it was on OSI then please state what you believe is different and any sources/proof.
If it was only a suggestion to make a skill more balanced or useful, then im afraid it wont be considered.  Everything on this shard should replicate the T2A era... there are a bunch of skills that could be improved and changed based on common sense alone, but thats what custom shard swithout specific visions are for!

				while we are at it can we change posioning to use on arrows too  
 
There's been enough manually modifying skills/mechanics without patch records as is...convenience or to empower stealthers shouldn't be excuses for another one.

What are you referring too with this statement?
 
Enticing monsters through gates. That had to be manually configurated. It wasn't included into any patch in era. Baitlin had to show how it could be done as no patch implemented in era at the time made that specific change.
Gating monsters before was casting a gate and the monsters AI had no understanding to sidestep it.
Now they can just walk through gates, pass right on through without being effected. The era patch changed AI for monsters to avoid stepping in gates all together, except under control of a player. Before they would just walk on through or follow a player through the gate on their own accord.

You might want to re-read baitlins post before you go off on a tangent.  He clearly showed the few functions allowing non-player mobiles to walk into gates.  A check was made for tames, hirelings, and followers.  Enticement had it's own ai type that was not based on the above mentioned 3 object status's.
I clearly remember gating all sorts of things all over the place in real uo, but it was absolutely not in the 99' era.

				oh so you are saying they changed it back? I dont believe that. It had to be ever present. And enticement was changed to discordance after T2A so thats not how you were able to gate them if you had.

You never used enticement to get monsters into gates.
Enticement does not put a mobile into follow mode, it changes their pathfinding.
The only time gating was possible was when the target was "a tame", or way back in the day when there was no check when anything walked onto a gate.
This is how I, (and others) remember it.  It also happens to be backed by the only proof available.  If you find something saying otherwise, post it.  Otherwise drop it already.
