Side note how about evening up the amount of pvp to non pvp events. Pvpers represent a smaller portion of the player base but the majority of the events.

A quick look shows 2.5:1 ratio for pvp events.

More bagball

Bagball is one of the easiest events for a player to hold. The positive side of that, is that if a player held it, it would be in the game world. Before you even argue that "Bagball takes place in the game world!", I should say that it does not. The only difference is the signup area.

If only there was a guild, who really enjoyed bagball early in the mornings, that could host such an event, it would probably be good advertisement for some other venture they run, like, oh I dont know, a museum.

You know, the only person in here still harping endlessly about events is the 1 person who has a silver/rares fetish. Go figure. :?

its true, blackfoot is the only one on the server of hundreds of players that enjoys events. Even if they dont have silver reward, he is the only one.

nice addition to the post, very constructive.

bagball is one of the hardest games to actually run on your own. Ive tried, numerous times. without server side help and complete honesty from players its nearly impossible to run competitive games.

As long as there are automated events for pvpers there really should be automated events for non pvpers at at least the same ratio? all this and all other threads is pvpers complaining about 'field pvp' why would replacing some of those pvp events with non pvp events bother them. Is it drawing all the house decorators away from field pvp?

Hey, Im not saying keep automated events for pvpers either. I say cut them all.

Bagball is totally player-runable. Even if the server handles it, you are going to have someone get the bag stuck because of an EUO script. At least if YOU are running it, you can ban them instead of waiting for a GM. Let's be honest here, it's obvious what you are doing when the bag magically disapears and you cant move several times, you are not fooling anyone....

I'm gonna have to agree with Syntax as well as Blackfoot on this one....
It's a shame how much the newcomers have altered the state of our beloved UOSA.
I think we all know what needs to be done here....

And Psilo, Matron, and etc. (People that don't care about events) Nobody In-game/IRC/Forums is forcing you to join them, all you have to do, is not join.... simple as that.

And sure... Maybe events aren't era accurate, but im going to represent the issue that Syntax touched on... We simply DON'T HAVE THE POPULATION THAT OSI servers had in 97-99 PLAIN & SIMPLE. And besides, be glad that the GM's cared enough to even create the events.

And if you don't like them so much as to try to get them removed/create server bashing-posts, then just don't participate....
Don't ruin the fun for the people that enjoy them.

And lastly, I am gonna agree with Sandro 100% on the non-event loving crowd....
people that want events taken out, more often then not, tend to be the ones losing them....

/shrugs "just sayin"

1+1=2 ?!?!

I tend to agree with the older players here. Btw for those of us who came after them guerrilla and black face are old heads here and seen this stuff before. Yes its true events have been cut before.... What followed was a slight influx of pvp followed by a total plummet of shard popularity and numbers.
!!I am not attacking our shard I love uosa and just because we didnt script for it or answer pages I think we all still feel like its ours and most of the people on the rally for axin events wont be here next month anyway so take a back seat listen to the furniture (aka the people who never move).
