Pks add flavor to the game. without them, who would the majority hate? Who would they attack on site? They make you watch your back and your front. They make people team up against them and sometimes still prevail. They can stop you in your tracks and turn a normal mob farming session, into a full blown pvp area.

T2A, pre-trammel is not for the weak hearted. I went from my dexxer when I first started, to playing my t-hunter for now. when I have accumlated my wealth, back to pvping, red hunting and being hunted by reds.

Most pks on this shard are a joke. 95% of the time on my thunter I have no issues getting away from them. Some pks are smarter then your average bear and get you.

T2A is more like the animal world, only the strong surive and if you are on a weaker toon at the time, just like in the animal world(if your weaker, only the quick survive)

there are no rules, which makes pre-trammel era so much better.
Use your brain to get away. Me and my bro were chasing a red outside, and with the quickness he used stonewall to block us and by the time we ran to the other side of the house , he got his recall off. What a great time he used to block us. Use your head. Sometimes you die, it's part of the game. And is the reason why most people are here.

Don't hunt high pk areas alone. At some points we hunt liches with 4 people, banking every 5-7 k and split at the end. And we always welcome pks, they break up the farming ritual that can become O so boring.

So I say to the reds keep on murdering people.

I agree with that. Once you realize its about fun, who cares about dying?
Giving up because you die is twice defeated.
If you want to keep your stuff do your derndest to get away, but most of it is replaceable and it is sometimes worth the risk to just fight. If you lose so what, chances are you learned something. Just remember its a game so don't get upset if you do lose and the game will get alot more fun trust me.

Don't always strike first on a red either. Sometimes they wait for you to attack just so they won't get a count. Countless times I walked in nose to nose with a PK. One time we both casted protective spells, and we both started to cast offensive spells. By this time I realized he was waiting it out. So I cleared my target after a small pause and mosied on.

Like I said a strike like that would leave you twice defeated once physically by the PK, and once for you losing your spirit.

Very good statements and words of advice.

What I like about this game is that it's not Cripplingly gear-oriented. Simply put, compared to some other MMO's, gear here is easy come-easy go. It's not about spending months running dungeons and raids, just to get that never ending carrot-on-a-stick tier whatever armor or wep. Because, you know, If you don't have the current highest tier gear, your character is worthless. Elitist gaming is great for the mmo business plan.

But, getting back on topic, I think this Topic isnt about PVP or Reds, or PK's itself, it's about griefing (see the poll). No one's arguing against a full pvp system. That's fine. I think the Topic creator is focusing on players that just don't want to kill you for your loot, they want your gameplay experience to be miserable. I think that's the focus on this topic, not pvp.
