I don't even have a pvp worthy character since I'm new to the shard and know absolutely no one, but here's my two cents.
From a purely logical standpoint, the only rules which make sense are 1v1 anything goes. This way, no one can complain.
The problem with trying to regulate duels is you always end up favoring one person (usually unintentionally).
Just keep things simple. Anything goes 1vs1. Tell people to come prepared. Sure, some dudes will roll in with vanq dp'd weps. Np, everyone had plenty of time to prepare themselves. Those who didn't are simply poor pvpers.
I think it's really silly when a dude gets owned by a dexer and then calls him a no skill noob for not using Mage 5x exclusively. Bro, you died. That's all there is to it. If you are the kind of pvper who only excels in highly regulated Mage duels, then you aren't really a pvper at all, are you?
I'm left handed. That's like if challenged you to a dart match but said only left hands are allowed. Most people are right handed. It's retarded.
How can you even call yourselves skilled if the only thing making you win is a tight set of rules that cater to your preferred playstyle?
How is it unskilled to use do weps and potions? It would seem pretty fuching stupid to me if you didn't use these obviously beneficial items if you can afford them. If you decide not to use them out of some misplaced sense of honor, then remember: honor is about what you do after the fight. Do you res the dude and gate him to town, or do you proceed to call I'm a retard noob for using potions?
Think about it. Grow some balls and come prepared. Don't be a limp dick bitch who hides behind self serving rules.
