That's good logic.
A is inherently dangerous.
But B is arguably MORE dangerous, and the founding fathers never said anything about CARS.
Also, we can't have perfect compliance regulating A.
Therefore let's not do anything about A.
GENIUS.

Aside from stating A is 'inherently more dangerous', you're getting it. Congrats...

Oh good point. Guns are definitely NOT inherently dangerous. They're designed to kill, of course, but inherently dangerous? Certainly not.

Let's blame the bullets, or the man, or the video game. But the gun is INERT. Let's ignore it and maybe thousands of innocent people won't die ever year since guns aren't inherently dangerous. In fact, since assault rifles aren't inherently dangerous, let's make it easy to obtain them. Hell, let's make sure angry teenagers have easy access to them. And when they go on a rampage, let's remind ourselves that we have these things as a constitutionally guaranteed way to defend ourselves against ..... the British?
Guns are like soft cute little kittens, warm and purring, that only turn into murderous lions when man pets them.

While I'm at least within the same book as you Budner (perhaps not on the same exact sentence of the page), I am genuinely interested in the original topic Robbb posted, and interested in ensuring it remain in the original forum it was posted. Therefore, I suggest we all move over to that thread you shared 3-4 comments back:

Guns don't kill people. Anonymous internet wizards with halberds kill people. Remember that.
