What's the point of arguing when you edit all your posts after you make a point? Every character in UO should have magery, bards have magery but they arent mages, scribes have magery but arent mages, blacksmiths have magery but arent mages, and finally.... DEXERS HAVE MAGERY BUT ARENT MAGES.

the only thing i edited was my grammer, not the content of the post...
sorry i fail to see how your point about magery should disqualify the poisoning skill from tournaments.

I read your post pre-edit, so you are lying.
Anyway, I'm talking to whatever idiot was arguing that dexers can't heal through poison. I assume it was you but am too lazy to read back.

heh hardly...what i posted and edited was within two minutes...and it doesnt say anything different so what it did b4.
yes we know magery can heal through poison.
thats why poison should not be a too much of an issue for a "mage" because they still have tactics they can employ.
saying we should have magery, does not and will not justify why we cant use poison-skill in a tournament...

Ok so you agree we can use hiding and alchemy for explosion and heal pots?

sure use hiding. wont bother me, where are you going to hide? you are going to have to come out sooner or later.
and i dont see anyone with the desire or a purpose for putting alchemy on a pvp char. when considering the time it takes to craft a pot.
woot i am not up to the point where i can just quote myself to prove your arguments is void.
venox wrote:its not a pot, its pixels on a screen, its an ingredient for a skill which consumes 100skill pts,
just like night shade is an ingredient for the poison spell (magery) that consumes skill pts also.
refresh, heal, cure, strength, agility, explosion. all of these "pots" do not consume skill points to use.
yes alchemist make this so called pots. but one called also argue that reagent vendors act in the same way alchemists act in providing the ingredient for your skill magery...
well if your such a leet and skilled mage, you should not mind a dexxer been able to give you some of your own medicine (poison). and be able to adjust to the proposed changes.
flash just stated in his last post, when dueling a mage that if he was in an arena area he would have lost. and how magery can still cast heal though a poison spell...

Wow, I just realized I am arguing with a retarded person. Sorry if I offended you but I was unaware of your condition. I will allow your amazing disregard for logic.

another post that doesnt put forward any argument as to why poisoning should not be allow.
instead it just trys to make attempt to slander me!
get over yourself and go learn philosphy 101, then maybe you can understand...
obviously you dont have any perception to perceive the ack of using a poison potion and see the similarily to casting the spell...

I'd say green potion is more of a reagent than the "pot" you claim it to be. quite similar to your reagents to cast spells. without nightshade you cant cast poison. without a green potion you cant poison a weapon. nightshade and green potions are just two underlying assets required for two different skills. the rest of the "pots" (including purple) are in a completely different category. no skill points are required to use any of them.
I stick with allowing (up to) greater poison for people with skill in poisoning.
And get rid of bards or separate them from the rest of survivor events!

How many effing times must I repeat myself, STOP SAYING TO PUT MGERY ON CHARACTERS! this is not the argument at hand, or what templates were better than others. the argument is why it is fair for mages to be able to poison in TOURNAMENTS, GAME MASTER RUN, and not dexers through a skill. Post legitamate claims, not "magery is so uber in t2a era"

i think they are catching on. except for some...
so far there has been much debate and oppossition.
yet not 1 ligitimate reason not to allow it other than dp, which i think is fair...
everything else has been fairly and squarely rebutted.
the only oppossition seems to stat is that they dont like it or get magery!!!
you cant argue with reason!
which along with defussing all other queries has compared casting the spell poison to the appling poison with the poison-skill, and has proved it to be an alternative and ligitmate way to do so.
sure more mages may die to the hand of a dexxer in an event?! shock horror, what is wrong with that. someone has got to die.

you keep saying random things, yet dont back it up with anything that should prevent the use of poison-skill in an event.
all those against poisoning it, just keep throwing crap in front of it.
yet all those for poisoning have had to given good reasons why it should be allowed.

Flash Hardstar wrote:Even at GM poisoning you can fail and poison yourself while attempting to poison your weapon, so it can be. Also, if a mage casts poison, yes it does cause a problem - DEXERS DONT CAST SPELLS! we have to wait out almost 40 secons to get a heal in.
I just wanted to point out that your first sentence there is not true. At GM poisoning you cannot fail to apply poison on a weapon, furthermore at about either 80 or 85 skill you can no longer accidentally poison yourself when attempting to apply poison to a weapon.
On Topic: Sure, I wouldn't mind poisoning be allowed in tournaments, but why not just allow everyone to use poisoned weapons?

because a character with poisoning sacrifices 100 skill points for the oppertunity.
ying and yang.
otherwise every template will have it...
