I never did the scavenger hunts, and it clearly states in most events that multi-clienting is not allowed. SO, Keep running your dick-licker Hiicha, cause you really have no clue whats going on, and like the 5 year old you are, keep doing everything I say and do to try to attack me. Stay on subject or move off this topic!

Actually everyone should move off this topic, and stop bumping it up, move on, Derrick and staff already posted about this situation.
Way to dodge, Mr. Hypocrisy.

"People shouldn't be allowed multiple houses, but ignore the fact that I use more than 3 accounts. Please fix houses."

My $.02:

This whole house crisis is a bunch of crap. I have been here 24 days and I have 2 smalls and a patio that was a 2 story and the plot will fit a tower. I found this place off of the Vesper road just running around.

Housing is era accurate and creates a great niche economy for house placement/real estate brokering.

If you can't get a house on this server, you are a complete tard.

Reading this was very refreshing. I couldn't of said it better myself...

I've been back just over a week and have place 2 smalls in prime locations.

One 2 screens from the Brit GY, the other at the mouth of the Fire Temple.

As I've previously posted, I'll have 15 houses in no time again, and a few months after that, I'll have 15 houses in all prime locations.

It's a matter of GP and patients.

Don't hate someone because they have a sweet spot, just wait for it to fall. ;)

Well, seeing as this is the back of the post, I doubt anyone will read this...but I own 6 houses.
One is a guild tower, which gets a lot of usage. another is a guild barracks(keep), which also gets a lot of usage. My personal tower which is constantly refreshed, barely gets out of "new" and finally my other 3 houses. I have them for funsies. One is a murder house, made for the sole purpose of gating ppl to their deaths. the other two are potential vendor houses. I dont use them at all.

Is it greedy to have all those houses? I do not care. I play this game quite frequently and the objective of this game is to do whatever you want. As such, I want my houses, and therefore I have them. Simple as that. If you are jealous, I just do not care. How about farm some gold and buy a house...or put countless hours into vendoring like I did, and then place houses/buy them. I bought my keep! I intend to keep it(pun intended)

I also intend to have a separate guild tower apart from my own private residence
and to help new ppl in the guild, the keep is theirs for usage...

one of the most awesome things about t2a was how free it was. ppl are always trying to take that away from other ppl. It is a sad fact of human nature. Its called jealousy, and if you can recognize it, perhaps you can avoid its very damaging practice and learn to achieve what others have achieved through hard work, instead of complaining.

first off, anytime you post at the bottom of a long, old or drawn out post it POPS it back to the top. So Thank you for once again bring up some old shit.

Second, This thread was about trying to bring in NEW PLAYERS not crying about how many houses everyone owns, and if it is fair or not.

Third, I agree with T2A being about "freedom" and do what ever you want, with that said, why are runebooks newbied, deeds newbied, and basically "newbie" the world for the sake of keeping players from having to "re-build anything they might loose.

Trust me, I have no problems with people owning houses, and I do not care the breakdown for all the lame purposes for everyone to have the houses they do, my point is simply that it would not kill the server to reduce the amount of houses each player has, if anything it would grow it. Since the start of T2A players have "land locked" and bought houses around their "main", thats not the problem. My problem is that people "claim" owning as many houses as you want is ERA ACCURATE, but they donot want to admit that less then 5% of the people who player OSI servers had 3 accounts! So NO not everyone had 15 hourse, and Id bet that most didn't even own the maxed out 5 per account.

But once again, this thread is old, so stop posting on it!

The newbied runebooks, deeds, and such are era accurate. Of anyone here, I think I have argued that point the most, but sadly that is just how it was. I do feel that we have skewed the "target" date further back than originally anticipated, and had this not occured we might still have realistic runebooks and deeds :(.

I do however support the reduction in housing. Some people here are just stupid when it comes to houses. The more people talk about "The great housing shortage", the more prices go up, and more people place houses "just because they can". It's a perpetual problem. We have 450 or so unique IP's online at any given time, and we are running out of land for homes? Tell me how this is possible, considering OSI had 10,000 (or whatever) people and you could still find some spots easily during this era? (rhetorical question).

It seems that "accuracy" here, entails specifically "mechanical accuracy". I can understand that, and I personally could care less about housing. I have a home, and I will live in it until I quit. However, if we are all about mechanical accuracy, why is it that non mechanical-era-accurate changes have been implimented. I think it should go one way or the other. Attempt to solve multi-clienting related issues, or leave it alone and fix the other changes.

(talking about the server not sending info to ghosts et al)

clearly you didnt read anything in any of the house reducing threads.

Once you get a larger house it is best to just compact everything in it, the only exception to this is plotting down a house which would bring you much profit or use shortly thereafter. If you aren't opening a vendor, in need of a hideaway, or going to sell right after, having so many properties is more of a hassle then anything.

Having your team you built all centered in one locale is the best thing you could ever do for yourself. I downsized from having seven houses to a single tower and am all the better for it.

Of course if you are operating on only one account chances are you would have more reason to own multiple housing spots due to the hassle of co-ownership issues.

I agree with Matron, its not the point of "house crisis" its the fact that everyone screams Era accuracy, and only wants it in certain areas. My point from the start of my post on this thread was just that of ERA accurate Limited house placement = 10,000 players. Not NO house placement = 400 players.

Simply "adjusting" for this would be to keep 3 accounts per person, and changing it to 2 house per account, which means we would not see a house issue until another 400 players or so came back / started. My entire idea behind bringing more playerbase to this shard! But I guess people rather stake a claim at fame and fortune on a server that is destine to die off due to people quitting, and lack of people joining.

It is sad, because this is the only server of its kind right now, and it is a good one, but who wants to join a shard with a trashed economy?

I'm sorry but the economy is not trashed.

As I previous wrote, I lost a lot of houses and guess what? I have all 15 filled now.

Imagine that! I was down to only 5 houses 3 weeks ago... and now 15 without buying one from another player.

Play the game, save your money, buy a deed and place where you can find it....and more importantly, try to have some fun while you do it.

I have a few houses to sell if you're interested? Min is deed plus 30k!

Back when I was looking to place a castle here, I surveyed the entire land. My initial goal was to try to locate and mark (on UOAM) every castle, to get a sense for the nicer-placed ones, the worse-placed ones, etc, and help inform whether or not I wanted to purchase one from someone.

Then I got to thinking, there must be some keeps out there that are sitting on a plot that could fit a castle. So marked every keep. And I also marked every tower spot, thinking that there might be a tower on a plot that could fit a keep (there were a couple). Then I decided to mark every remaining non-7x7 house.

It probably took 4 hours to do all of this, but I got a ton out of it. For one, I got to explore every inch of the lands, and saw some places I never knew of before. For another, I found a ton of IDOC houses and possible houses to loot. And most importantly, towards my goal of getting a castle, I found a few castle-fitting plots that were covered by smaller houses. So I went about trying to buy up all the houses in those plots so that I could place a castle in their place. THAT, by the way, is the advantage of having 15 house slots to yourself. And after a month or so, I acquired the last house I needed to cover my castle plot (well, an IDOC fell and I stealthed up and dropped a large brick in it's place) and ended up placing my castle for the price of the castle deed plus about 100k spent on buying a few houses in my way. At that time, a castle on grass with a secure courtyard probably cost 2.5 million or more; I paid around 1.1 million, plus a little elbow grease and time.

Anyways my point is... go search the land, and mark off some spots in UOAM. It really is fun - at least it was for me. There's not a housing crisis here; like everything else, you can have whatever you want if you're willing to work for it.

The great thing about UOSA is the real estate is profitable and even players who haven't been here for that long can be a real estate seller.

On OSI there were not houses available in 1999, it was rare and a "big thing" to even place a small that fell somewhere.

I think UOSA is quite balanced, real estate is a playstyle of its own here.

Why does everyone think that this topic is about not finding a home, or my lack of ability to place houses? The "trashed" economy comment is because of the fact that everyone has every trade char, therefor new players find it hard to make a living, other then raw materials.

But what ever, if you guys are happy with a server of 400, 100 of which are actually online or active, then more power to you! I am simply trying to open everyone's eyes to ways to make this shard look more appealing, but no one wants to hear that, because it takes away from their ability to hoard houses!
