Ya, I know macroing isn't discouraged here. I just recall gaining every time using the grid system. Couldn't remember the exact dimensions so 8x8 is believable. Just made macroing magery and resist so much better when every cast earned you .1...took longer to move the boat and watch for griefers, but saved gold in the long run.

Malaikat, you don't seem to understand what he meant.

After "our era", OSI implemented anti-macro code; thereafter, "8x8 macroing" became an exploitative scheme that players used to circumnavigate that code.

Since there is no anti-macro code here (at least, of that style), any/all measures designed specifically to circumvent such code are not going to have any effect here.

What's funny is the same debate had gone on over at Divinity. One of the other staff members confided to me that there was nothing in the code to support this UO myth... but he said not to tell any of the players.

It's kinda like Santa and the Easter Bunny... once you know these things aren't real... a little bit of the magic dies.
