Anyone else will be a serious risk as a broker or direct trade.

It is very defeating when you lose large quantities of what you have gained. I have made some foolish mistakes myself which have taken large sums of my accumulated wealth. Especially disheartening in my case where my house was looted of everything, even pre-decoded tmaps (useless to anyone except me) and many items that have practically no worth - the only reason I can imagine anyone picking these up was to trash them.

It made me wonder about about nature of some people.. destroying many hours of work of someone they'd never met or talked to for no personal gain.

But you can either learn from them and not make the mistake again, or get back on your feet and work toward your original goal. Obviously you had a plan which is very achievable, and you should work toward it again and get the tower the right way this time - use a trusted broker ;/

Lazarith has lost millions of gold by being scammed repeatedly, and he still plays.

Wise and Tabius are a bit shady as it is (see: other threads), plus there are literally dozens of fake Wise's and Tabius's out there waiting to scam you. I know that I personally would not want to risk it. I would use blackfoot 100%.

For the record, I believe Sandro's analysis of the situation is correct. The logs were incorrectly interpreted.

Only shady if your spreading rumors, There are fake Blackfoot's aswell so thats hardly an valid reason, BE CAREFUL is really the true advice, ANY brokering I do is varrified on Forums http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewforum.php?f=51 Via my Broker thread, I have prevented cA scams before via this method, Secondly ONLY trust Wise [Guildmaster, $$$] this can be checked via MYUOSA.

its EASY to not be scammed, take your time, check and double check, and use the shards no scamming IRC & Forum rules, and you should never have a problem.... also never trust any member of [cA] ever as a good rule of thumb.

Sounds to me more like you are the scammer, trying to get some free gold from the kindness of others.
