How do you get benches to sit real high up the wall like that? And lockpick / weapon racks too?

drop like 15-20 bloodmoss in a pile then put your bench/lockpick down. remove bloodmoss till you are at the leve you want then lock it in place. remove all bloodmoss

Out of curiosity blackfoot- Is there a small item that stacks in a corner that would give the appearance of 3d to an aquarium without having a "lid" to complete the illusion? Like a mug or something?

the trick to 3ding your aquarium is in the sand/items, not the lid
if you have a simple stack of dyed cloth and just dye a couple layers of the cloth brown it wont look 3d,
you are actually looking at the aquarium down and on an angle (as with everyhting uo), so when you do that you give the impression you are looking at it from straight on, with a straight line of sand, which is confusing for the eyeball
make your aquarium stack of blue cloth with a couple black/base colours at the bottom, ive also done cupbaords, chests, bars etc supporting the aquarium. Leave the lid off its unnecessary.
When you have the main body built you need to add the sand second
you do that by lifting 2 stacks of 2 cloth cloth 12 or so tiles up one tile infront of the aquarium.
When it lines up with your base lock the bottom layer down, then stack fish stuff ontop

Interesting, my question is more about perspective- without a lid the Aquarium would appear like a box with two walls instead of a cube- thats more what I meant than just item placement. Like if you used A stack of maps, mugs, or somesuch to give the cube a line at the front corners.. but that of course would make the back walls also have strange perspective. Will have to brew that a bit.. perhaps put it next to a wall to give it a backdrop.

the thing about the black lid is it takes the texture out of hte top of the blue cloth, which can look odd
maybe putting a small water fountain filter on the top could cover that instead of a lid

Hmm possibly. I'm actually an aquarium entusiast in real life, so I was wanting to do a large one in game, just not super keen on having a lot of it Obscured to make the illusion look right, though it still looks very good. Will have to think about that a bit I guess, lol.
