To address yours, there is no intent to disrupt, offering an alternative bid amount is not an intentional disruption if the total value is similar.

Intent is a subjective matter. What I view as an intent to defame my character by implications of malpractice in the trade forums, you may view as simply you stating your opinion. So, if you're saying trade moderation is an entirely subjective matter where justice is applied unevenly I would suggest a change in moderation or a protocol to follow in order to assure even application of rules.

There have been no rules applied objectively that detail an infringement. I've asked several times for rules stated by administration that specifically detail my infringement and have yet to be supplied anything of note. The only one cited is one that is entirely subjective and does not apply to my claim. Otherwise, any reported post could be viewed as harassment by any party.

I am confused about what exactly warrants a removal from a thread. If the original poster wants any post in their thread removed, should it be? Suppose someone posts a common item that might be unknown to new players for sale at a high price, would they then be able to report any post saying "Hey look dude, this is really common and like 500gp at any npc"?

Theres a button under every players avatar that will send the player a private message.
This is a fantastic tool. If you want to ask the OP something that is against the rules of their thread, that is the button to use. If you want to make a rude comment about their thread, that is the button to use.
If you want to warn the poster of a potential scam, that is the button to use.

Posters in the trade forum simply trying to buy or sell items should be able to do so without being harassed or trolled.

This entire situation feels like junior kindergartners (Canadian for 5 yrs olds) fighting over the class dinosaur.

One solution would be to just simply lock all threads in the trade forum so all discussion would take place in PM, then the OP can modify their thread accordingly with bid updates, etc.

Does anyone else like this idea or has this idea been proposed in the past? Maybe we should try it for a month and see how it works out.

Here I'll give you an example Matron:

Player posts a thread selling their fantastic large brick home! It comes equipped with various add ons and has a nice water-side view of the near by sea!

They're only asking deed price plus 10k!

Matron then pops in to inform everyone that this brick deed is located in the treacherous lands of CA! Anyone who buys this brick deed runs the risk of being pk'd, looted, or worse!

Ok, fine, not worthy of removal.

Matron then pops in to inform everyone AGAIN...ok that's getting obsessive, drop it kid. - Removed

Then XYZ Player pops in to bid small deed + a banana... - Removed

Easy enough?

Sounds like a fantastic idea, but this doesn't help when honest discussion is brought to the table about a certain item. Much like what Matron points out...

Matron is not insinuating that the trade forums will be anymore trammeled by the currently existing forum rules. She's asking a simple question to clarify the already murky rules of the trade forum that do not seem to be distributed based upon anything other than what appears to be personal vendetta.

Discussion can impede a sale. Would discussion in order to impede a sale be warranted of a removal? Example:

Player A - Title: Selling unique, one of a kind iron ingot.
Player A - Detail: Selling a unique of a kind ingot that I have mined from the treacherous Britain mining zone. There is no other ingot in existence that matches the description of this one.

Player B - It is unique? 10k.

Player C - It's just an ingot he mined. It's only worth 5gp.
^ Impeding a sale as the information stated inside of the original post is accurate if that player has indeed only ever mined a single ingot. The item ID is unique and no others exist with the same ID or were acquired in the same way by that specific player.

Is Player C worthy of removal?

Note: Extreme example, only used to make the discussion clear.
