Wow great point! Anyone who thinks like you obviously doesn't care about having a large player base.

Right! I want as small of a player base as possible.

Please explain to me how logging in once every 30 days has anything to do with player base?

If it is that much of a hardship to log in once every 11 days to refresh your house you arnt contributing anything to the player base or community.

I mean, you dont even have to play... just log in, open the door and log out... Is it really that hard?

There is a perception on both arguments that it produces and reduces the playbase.

30 days : People who take a break, may come back if their house is still around. On the flip side they don't log in as much.
11 days : People refresh their houses more often requiring them to log in more than they do now. They may lose their house when they take a break much quicker and end up permanently making them quit.

Which ever direction you take they both have their positives and negatives. It doesn't matter to me one way or another. However, if it is changed it had better be to the delay that existed during this time.

Who could say what would really happen if this was changed. I voted 30 days (as server population is low for now) but I would change my vote to 11 once population picked up. I log on every day so this does not effect my housing. I agree that many players will be affected by lowering this and 'may' possibly lose a house. This is accurate and actually I have TWO friends that joined this shard because they were "excited" to loot decaying houses. I was never big into the house looting as I was always out in battle, but I would expect to see this changed as population grows. Yes there is plenty of space for housing available, thus causing houses to not be worth much (except for 'hot spots'). As spots fill the "want" will increase as well.

To play the game for only looking for places that are IDOC, is really lame.
What is the need to change this from 30 days ?

there is no need for it.
it does not affect anyones interaction with the server except forces players to click on house doors more.
this doesnt affact none home owners at any stage, because i am sure they will always be able to nab a spot. even with 30days.

idoc will always occur, infact i have heard of some players who have lost their house already.

and there is no such thing as fixed hotspots. hotspots are player created areas, look at the bloodorc clan as a prime example that is in the middle of no where, but players stop by for some action.
vespar strip and shadowmire are also player created hotspots.
everyone wants a vendor in vespar because they want to bite the customers off other vendors i.e. players created this atmosphere and thus it is a hotspot.
no reason why someone else cant create that.

this would only affect home owners and cause unfortunate home loses due to unforseen circumstances.
11 days seems to short, 30 days is resemble.

Not to mention 11 days went hand in hand with the large server population that we do not have currently...

I have to say that I prefere the 30 day timer... due to the lower population levels on this server I really have to worry about getting the refreshs over the summer months when I tend to be away from computers alot. I don't like the idea of having to track down ppl that I can trust to refresh my properties. If real estate was such a concern then I would agree that the faster timers would be needed.
